How shipping works on Althemax

Each merchant on Althemax sets their own shipping policies — destinations, services, and rates by weight or order value. When you add items from multiple merchants to one cart, your shipping total at checkout is the sum of each merchant's rate for the items they fulfil.

How rates are calculated

  • Weight-based. Most merchants charge by total order weight, with bands (e.g. 0–500g, 500g–2kg, 2kg+). Heavier items in your cart shift you into a higher band.
  • Per-kg. Some merchants use a flat per-kilogram rate plus a small base fee — common for international freight.
  • Flat. Light items (accessories, digital extras) may ship at a fixed rate regardless of weight.

Free shipping thresholds, expedited options, and country-specific surcharges are set per merchant. The shipping you pay at checkout is always the cheapest applicable policy for your destination and basket weight.

Destinations

Merchants choose the countries they ship to. The marketplace surfaces shipping in 26 currencies; individual merchants typically ship to a smaller subset. Check the merchant's policy in their seller profile, or add a product to cart to see the live shipping quote for your address.

Delivery times

Standard delivery is typically 2–7 working days within the merchant's home country and 5–14 working days internationally. Expedited services (if offered) appear in the checkout shipping selector. Order tracking is provided whenever the merchant's carrier supports it.
